I have tried 3 walkthroughs in random gen maps and my closest tier 4 map as we speak is on 1.5km distance and once i do it then the trader tends to not give that map again and the next closest is an insane 4.4 km away. Same with tier 5. Closest was 2.3km and after i do it the next one in line was 5.5km away.I've read somewhere that it is possible to make random gen map and play DF.
